No more getting up to grab a coffee when a blur is being rendered. :) @ZeroTruths - I read a lot of those comments about the heat issue. I'm running a temperature monitor on it and it routinely runs in the mid to high 60's after it's been on a while and running the Gimp or something. For sure it gets warm, but nothing outrageous. That said, I have very limited experience with laptops (this is my first). I know there was a big kerfuffle about the vent being partially covered when you open the lid up past vertical, but not very much of it is covered and it's not really blocked (there's still space for airflow). I've also read that certain Macbooks have a very similar design that purportedly blocks the vents but has received little complaint or mention. I don't know. Maybe Earl can weigh in on the Mac side of things... Hey guys,

I was actually thinking about buying it at one point, but there were a couple of things that I was worried about. 1) Money. College student. Nuff said. 2) Linux compatibility. Being a fairly new laptop, I didn't know just how compatible w/ Linux it was going to be. I'm glad to hear that you had little trouble getting it set up. :) 3) Heat.
